At PDDA we want you to feel a part of our family from the moment you walk in.  We are a non-competitive studio which focuses on quality dance technique & training through a fun, relaxed environment.  Each and every dancer who walks through our doors brings in something unique with their personality and learning style - we want to tap into that & have a ton of fun!


Laurie Rutherford


Laurie co-founded PDDA in 1995 and hasn't looked back.  She is a graduate of the University of Waterloo with a BA in Dance and has obtained a Teaching Diploma with the Royal Academy of Dance.  Throughout her 30 years of teaching she has been on staff at various dance studios throughout Southwestern Ontario teaching weekly & guest classes to competitive & recreational students of all ages.  Teaching dance has been very rewarding & Laurie is thrilled to be sharing the art of dance with all her students for another amazing season!

Zoey Gunther


Zoey is excited to be returning for her 7th season with our PDDA family! She has studied several types of dance including ballet, tap, hip hop, acro, jazz & musical theatre and has successfully competed throughout her years of dance.  Zoey's calm, serene approach to to her students makes everyone feel welcome.  When Zoey isn't in the studio you will find her working as an esthetician in the local area.  Zoey is thrilled to see what her students are capable of this season!

Ali MItchell


Ali is thrilled to be returning for her 10th season with the PDDA family!  She trained with us for 12 years in various forms of dance including ballet, jazz, acro, hip hop, musical theatre & lyrical.  Her experience as a cheerleader & a cheer coach is brought to her pom cheer class.  Ali's love of dance is evident in all her classes.  When not in the studio you will find Ali working as a hair stylist in the local area.  Ali can't wait to start another year with all her students!
